Annual Meeting
- Amsterdam 16-19 September 2010

On behalf of the ESVS administration and the LOC we wish all of you heartily welcome to Amsterdam and the XXIV Annual Meeting of the European Society for Vascular Surgery
The event will take place at the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center, 16 - 19 September 2010.
Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, with its more than 800,000 inhabitants is a city with a highly individual atmosphere, generated largely by its beautiful canals, its sense of energy and purpose, its cultural treasures and the opportunities for recreation and entertainment. It was founded in the middle-ages, near Edam on the river Amstel, blossoming at the start of the 17th century to become the world’s largest centre of trade and art.
All congress hotels are within walking distance of the Amsterdam RAI, with excellent accessibility by air, by rail and by road. Schiphol International Airport is a very modern and well-serviced airport, from which you can board a train taking you directly to the RAI station within 7 minutes. A pass for public transportation in the City of Amsterdam will be included in the Registration Fee.
As ever, the meeting in Amsterdam will be of high scientific quality with 36 oral presentations and 40-50 short message contributions selected from some 450 submitted abstracts; posters; technical and oral workshops and various symposia.
We encourage young surgeons and surgeons in training to join the meeting and therefore all young society members who have an abstract selected for presentation will
receive a congress travel grant.
We would like to express our greatest thanks to the general assembly of the ESVS for giving us the opportunity and challenge to be the host of the city of the ESVS meeting in 2010.
