The Society has 7 different kinds of membership:
Full Membership
This category is for European surgeons, anaesthetists and radiologists in independent consultant practice who are substantially involved in the care and treatment of patients suffering from vascular disease. Full members shall be aged 35 years or more and under the age of 65 years save as may be expressly provided in these Byelaws. They shall receive notice of meetings, the Society’s Journal and be entitled to attend meetings, submit abstracts, present papers and comment. Only Full Members shall have the privilege of voting and holding office. The cost of a full membership is split in two: Euro 114 per annum for members in Western European countries and in Eastern European that are EU members; Euro 38 for members in Eastern European countries outside the EU.
Membership for European Vascular Surgeons in Training
This category is for committed European trainees in the care and treatment of vascular disease. They shall receive notice of meetings, receive the Journal and be entitled to attend meetings, submit abstracts and present papers and comment. Junior Members will automatically become Full Members after the age of 35 years. The cost of a junior membership is Euro 38.00 per annum.
Honorary Membership
Honorary Membership shall be reserved for such persons as may be deemed worthy of this honour by the concurrence of the Society. The number will be small and not usually exceed twelve. They need not be European. They shall receive notice of meetings and be encouraged to attend meetings. They shall receive the Society Journal.
Senior Membership
Every Europeanl Member at the age of 65 years shall automatically become a Senior Member. They shall be entitled to attend meetings, submit abstracts and present papers. They shall receive notice of meetings and the Society Journal.
Associate Membership
This category is for non-surgical members from associated specialties interested in advancing the management of vascular disease. They shall receive notice of meetings, receive the Journal and be entitled to attend meetings, submit abstracts and present papers and comment. The cost of an associate membership is Euro 114 per annum.
Corresponding Membership
These are non-European members who shall receive notice of meetings, receive the Journal and be entitled to attend meetings, submit abstracts and present papers and comment. The cost of a corresponding membership is Euro 114 per annum.
Industrial Membership
These are members from Companies with an interest in vascular disease. They shall receive notice of meetings, receive the Journal and be entitled to attend meetings. The cost of an industrial membership is Euro 114 per annum.
