Importance of duplex in Aorto-iliac disease: screening to treatment and follow up
Vascular ultrasound is a harmless and portable investigation that can be used as a screening and surveillance tool for AAA.
In chronic limb ischemia vascular ultrasound may qualify your next step ie additional imaging.
In EVAR-surveillance vascular ultrasound has replaced CTA in uncomplicated cases.
This online workshop will include case discussion on recorded examinations with AAA, stenotic iliac lesions and EVAR follow-up. Led by Kim Bredahl, Elena Iborra, Steven Rogers and Anders Wanhainen.
This interactive session will include time for your questions and discussions.
- Learn basic US anatomy of Aorta-iliac segment and examination protocol.
- Diagnostic criteria for AAA, stenotic iliac lesions and endoleaks
- Scan technique including tips & tricks to screen for AAA, stenotic lesions in the vascular bed from infra-renal aorta to the groin, and how to rule out endoleaks after EVAR.
