14 September @ 18:00
Expert faculty: Sebastian Debus, Rupert Bauersachs and Vincent Jongkind
How to protect a neat endovascular recanalization from early reclusion? Or lower amputation risk after a distal bypass in a patient with critical limb ischemia? Discuss you own case and join experts Sebastian Debus, Rupert Bauersachs and Vincent Jongkind in a live, online interactive patient case-based discussion on best medical treatment postintervention. The evidence from the latest trials (COMPASS and VOYAGER) and recent guidelines for the management of patients with PAD will be put into perspective.
During and after interventions patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) are at highest risk for thrombotic and bleeding complications. The results of recent trials show that patients may benefit from the novel combination of anticoagulation and antiplatelets. The antithrombotic risk must be weighed against the bleeding risk, however. Focus will lie on clinical decision-making prior, during and after your intervention for PAD in your patients. Participants are cordially invited to send in their cases or questions beforehand to discuss during the seminar. Expert faculty and participants will share their experiences and provide practical considerations for best practice in your own hospital and practice.
